Benefits Specialist - Casper, Wyoming

Assists with the administration of the Health Benefit, Life Insurance, Cafeteria Plan, and Identity Theft Benefit plans. This person is responsible for creating and maintaining records for all plans and supports the Benefits Department staff. Researches newly eligible participants for all plans, processes benefit applications, and assists with employee education about benefits. Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma, recordkeeping education and/or experience, ability to handle sensitive data and maintain confidentiality, strong attention to detail, excellent internal customer service skills, and ability to read and communicate effectively verbally and through written communication. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. One to two years of experience with employee benefits, knowledge of related regulations, or a background in insurance strongly preferred.  An understanding of medical terminology is helpful. Must have excellent computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience using Oracle preferred. Position requires pre-employment credit check, background check, and drug screen.
