Summer Engineering Intern – Casper, Wyoming
This full-time, temporary position will assist the Engineering/Production and Geology Departments with practical applications related to exploration and production in the Petroleum Industry. This position will be primarily responsible for gathering data that is needed to optimize production and maximize the recovery of hydrocarbons and will aid and assist the production superintendent and production foreman to gather information needed for regulatory reports as well as also work with pumpers and mechanics on equipment maintenance and repairs, work on wellbore schematics, workover reports, Sundry notices and well files, and gain experience with gauging tanks, monthly production and injection reporting. Minimum requirements include English language fluency, computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and must be a current student majoring in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a strong preference towards a career in the Petroleum industry. Previous experience as a summer intern providing these types of services preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
